Chinese Foreign Nationals with a PhD
Foreign-born Chinese nationals who previously held Chinese citizenship, possess a doctoral degree, and are currently working in China with a work-type residence permit may directly apply for permanent residency.

1. Those who have held positions such as deputy general manager, deputy factory director or above in China, or possess associate professorships, associate research fellowships or other associate senior professional titles and above, and have enjoyed corresponding treatment for at least four years, with a cumulative residence period in China of no less than three years within these four years.
2. Foreigners applying for permanent residence in China shall abide by Chinese laws, be in good health, and have no criminal record.

Application Requirements
All of the following conditions (the years mentioned in these requirements refer to consecutive years prior to the date of application) must be met simultaneously:
1. Foreigners applying for permanent residence in China shall abide by Chinese laws, be in good health, and have no criminal record.
2. The applicant's spouse is a Chinese citizen or a foreign national who has obtained permanent residency status.
3. The marital relationship has lasted for at least five years.
4. The applicant has continuously resided in China for at least five years after marriage, with a residence period in China of no less than nine months each year.
5. There is a stable living guarantee and residence.
